Olympic Telescope 2018 Schedule
Telescope Programs at Hurricane Ridge:
Dress warmly -- It can be cold at 5242 feet (1598 meters).
July 2 through July 16 beginning at 11:00 pm
July 26 through July 28 Special: Mars at Opposition at 11:30 pm
August 1 through August 7 beginning at 10:30 pm
August 9 through August 15 beginning at 10:15 pm
August 30 and August 31 beginning at 9:30 pm
September 1 through September 4 beginning at 9:30 pm
September 7 through September 9 beginning at 9:15 pm
Note: The Olympic Astronomical Society will be having their 21st Annual OAS Hurricane Ridge Star Parties on July 14th, August 11th, and September 8th, weather permitting. There will be more telescopes on the ridge, and most OAS members will be happy to have the public look through their telescopes!
Full Moon Hike to Hurricane Hill:
A 3 mile round trip hike. Meet at the Hurricane Hill trailhead.
The trailhead is a 1.5 mile drive beyond the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center.
Please wear sturdy shoes. A constellation tour will occur at the top of Hurricane Hill.
Friday & Saturday July 27 & 28 departing at 8:45 pm
Saturday & Sunday August 25 & 26 departing at 8:00 pm
